About TUSoft
The Technical University of Kenya Software for Information Management, commonly called TUSoft, is geared toward enabling the University manage its information resources. It is intended to assist in collection of necessary data pertaining to the operations of the University from different offices and other system points, then present summarized information that may help during decision-making. It empowers respective staff members to perform their normal duties securely and coveniently without changing their ways of operations; the system is envisoned to mirror the current workflows of different processes in various offices of the University.The system, in effect, is able to collate data generated from these operations into usable form. It further allows these operations do be carried out conveniently and securely by different system users. Data collected from different sources are sent to a data lake where necesary analytics are performed to generate useful insights presented on dashboards.
Getting Started...
You get started with TUSoft MIS by obtaining a user account. This user account has a user name and a corresponding password.
Creation of user accounts is done at the ICT Center. You can alternatively contact us through the appropriate channels we have provided stating your payroll number and the user role you would want to perform in the system.
Steps on How to Log In
- First, ensure you have already been created an account and assigned a user role.
- Enter your username. This is CASE INSENSITIVE, meaning, if your username was for example myname, then even if you enter MyName, myName, MYNAME, or mYNAME, etc, they will all be accepted.
- Enter password. Remember your password is CASE SENSITIVE, meaning, if your password was mypass, then if you happen to enter MYPASS, Mypass, MyPass,, they will NOT be accepted.
- Click on Log In Now and wait for the authentication process to complete.
KINDLY NOTE: You can attempt to login THREE TIMES ONLY. If you enter wrong login details THREE TIMES, then your account will be BLOCKED. Please contact us or try to recover your password if you happen to encounter login error before your account is blocked. When your account keeps being blocked, you will be profiled.
Recovering Password
In order to recover your forgotten password:
- Click on the link 'Recover Password'.
- Enter your registered username.
- Answer the security question you set during account creation.
- Enter new password, and confirm the new password.
- Submit.
- Log in using the new password entered.
